Wee Little Havroshechka (Russian Folk Tale)

“Wee Little Havroshechka” is one of the most unusual and strange Russian fairy tales. The characters and events of the tale cannot be explained from the point of view of universal human logic and everyday wisdom. This is a very touching tale about a poor orphan who lives with an evil stepmother and her evil, ugly daughters. The plot is partly reminiscent of the famous fairy tale “Cinderella”, but instead of the fairy godmother, a cow acts as a protector and helper, who shares her wise advice with Havroshechka and helps her with overwork.

The project is my interpretation of the old tale. A fairy tale with a bouquet of intonations - gloomy, sometimes scary, but at the same time kind and life-affirming.I wanted to interpret the end of the story in my own way. In the original story, the industrious Havroshechka remains patient and diligent, even after the death of Mother Cow, and the happy ending of the tale is the wedding of Havroshechka with a rich master.I want to show that after the tragedy, Havroshechka changes and matures, becomes more determined and able to stand up for herself. He copes with evil sisters and stepmother and goes into a new life bold and independent.
